There is some talk of charity during the coming national difficulties. Most of the talk centers around the question of "should I be charitable?" Each individual must come to his or her own conclusion in this matter and there are many factors to be taken into consideration.

On Religious Freedom
The arrogance of the petty tyrant sitting in our White House is reaching new depths. His true colors are shining through as well. Although perhaps less widely known, communism is marked not only by it's totalitarianism but also it's rejection of and hatred for anything religious. His Petulance is striking that chord now in our military.

Note: while I'm not Catholic, I will stand with and for the right of the Catholic to exercise his faith as his conscience dictates. This is so of the Jew, Mormon, Buddhist, etc. It's my contention that he is trying to stifle the Catholics because they likely represent the largest single religious group in the military.
What does he tell his children when they see things like this? How does he justify his actions and/or those of his subordinates? Does he say something like, "They need punished so we take something away from them much like losing one's iPod or cell privileges."? Reflections....
My mind is consumed today with the events of this weekend - particularly Sunday's Million Vet March on D.C. This is not a good thing since today is this week's "Monday" and I was gone 3 1/2 days before. On the other hand, it is needful that I consider not just the past weekend but the near future as well. I was proud - more than usual - to be an American, living in America this weekend.
November 1, 2013 could see a first in American History: the nationwide shutdown of SNAP/EBT/Food Stamp cards. Let that thought sink in........ a nation full of people with their hands out only to bring them back empty.
But then who could have conceived that the (alleged) Commander-in-Chief would slap the collective face of "his own troops" (and that of those NOT his at this point) by closing NATIONAL monuments which were and are designed to HONOR both. This just pisses me off. His contempt and disregard for those who have or are actively demonstrating their commitment to this nation is glaringly apparent. Benghazi. He cares nothing for those who have gone the distance. He's dancing on the graves of the fallen. He despises the very men and women who have preserved the nation he's been handed and is hell-bent on ruining.
Know this, if you've been waivering on the issue, there is no civility on the part of the .gov any longer. The mask is gone. Illegally detaining foreign nationals in a motel for 2 days without so much as an apology for the sake of one's political stand??? WHO DOES THAT !!?? And what of the American tourists!!?? By the way, as we were moving from the Lincoln Memorial to the Spite House, I saw a small group of Asian men, obviously not Asian-Americans, and I apologized to them and those of their nation who may have been detained. Americans have acted badly and we should be ashamed of it. They, as well as all the others from other countries deserve better treatment than to be caught up in such childish antics. I'm dumbfounded at such barbaric nonsense. On the other hand, his foreign policy is terribly inadequate so what he had the Park Service do shouldn't be surprising.
An arrogant, smug, self-absorbed, petty, wannabe despot does that. And then dispatches a threat to shut off SNAP unless the GOP concedes?? When this concession occurs, America is lost. Her only hope will be to go in a direction no one but the petty despot and his goons seem to be pushing. I want no fight. As some may have noted having met me, I'm too old for that crap. But if you insist, I'll be singing one of Kenny Roger's songs: "Let's Go Out In A Blaze of Glory..." You will have your wish.
I am of the opinion that with our rediscovered strength that we - the fed up, agitated, unwilling to tolerate anymore affronts Americans - go on the offensive. If there are other places where Barry-cades obstruct, they should be summarily removed. We must not lose the momentum of our moment. What took place Sunday has American Spirit painted all over it. There must be something that we can grab on to and shake it till it either surrenders or dies. Then move on to the next until a trend is set and the ball begins to roll on it's own.
Our grandkids asked where we went that they couldn't go. We responded by telling them that we went to fix some things that bad men had done. Pictures will be shown to them in the coming days from the various websites displaying the Barry-cade Removal Act. My hope is that they "get it" as they mature. When we've passed from this scene, I hope they can look back and say, "our Grandmother and Grandfather were there that day. They helped get things started back in the right direction. We have what we have because they were willing to act against bad men doing bad things."
For the love of God and what He's blessed us with, go out, find something evil, and make it right.

The "Shutdown" Was Shutdown
Today, October 13, 2013 marks a day in American History. The reason is simple: Americans stood up to the leviathan ,gov and shutdown the shutdown of our war Veterans Memorials.
"Barry-cades" were removed from obstructing viewers a closer look at the various Memorials to our heros. Those from in front of the Lincoln Memorial were then carried to and deposited in front of the White House affectionately adorned with a hand-written note: "RETURN TO SENDER".
The DC SWAT, mounted police(yes, on horseback), an armored vehicle and more police were dispatched to the scene of the crime. Shouting and general ill will was exchanged but then THEY LEFT. The .gov personal security thugs backed off. No arrests, no pepper spray, no blood(this time), no wildly-swung batons.
Americans were given their first taste of real victory since the shameful entering and retreat from Viet Nam.
IF a few hundred individuals with the resolve to face whatever comes can cause the death squads to reconsider their actions and position, imagine what a nation full of Patriots could do to right the direction of this country.

The "SHUTDOWN"
Most think that 17% of our several-times that over-bloated .gov system is enough to cause disaster. It isn't. What this alleged "shutdown" is about is a tug-of-war of sorts between those who still want to make We, The People THINK they're still representing us and the power/greed drunken socialists who no longer give a rats tail about the mask. This also about their jobs in the next election cycle: who keeps their seat with subsequent bribes and graft payments and who has to turn to actually doing a little more work for it on the outside of the Beltway.

Such accounts are occuring daily and have been since October 1.
Does this errant despot intend to so provoke the American People as to expect us to somehow move against those we elected with the concentration of protestors equal to or even greater than that of the first 9/12 event in DC? If we should, he would force the continuation of his own sanctions and consequently, the increased ire of America on the whole. Or maybe his bent is to push until the odds of any compromise is well past any recovery. Would he then watch and blame the Republicans for our National default? If that happens, more than his presidency would be ended. America as we see it today would be no more. Is this what he wants - really? Who would fund his precious ObamaUNhealthcare? How would his faithful mutts maintain their guard over public monuments? How long will they go on the promise of betters days aheaad seeing that things have been run into the ground in such order?
We're past being fed up but he just doesn't seem to get it. Or maybe he does and this is his private, perverse delight. And the delight of those who jerk his strings.
These kinds of strings need to be severed - this nation can't take much more of the pulling.
The Million Vet March on DC October 13, 2013 could well be a turning point in American History. If it goes badly, it could well be a lose - lose situation.

There's Still Hope

WHAT HAVE WE TO CELEBRATE ?
I'm angry today. Actually, more so than usual as I find myself this way more often than not anymore. I'm angry about so much that I'm not certain there's room on one readable page for everything.
So much nonsense about the meaning of today. So much hype, so much wrong and misleading information. Contrast that with the little concern for what really took place and how far we've purposefully been removed from it. If not for the connection to my profession and associated activities, I'd delete my Facebook account. Understand that I'm not anti-bbq, family/friend gatherings and a little down time for R&R. What I am against is the wholesale ignorance of the significance of this date. Celebration is great when the point of the effort is central. Sadly, that was lost long ago.
I'm angry too that I spent so many years like all the other sheeple, just moving with the flock, being worked and maneuvered by the wretched rhetoric that is continually spewed from the lamestream media's overpaid hacks and lackeys.
Having reached my 60's, I'm very well aware that time spent is unrecoverable.
With this "coming of age", has also come the decision to determine what is truly important and what is not. Here's some of what IS very important to me:
My Bible is open to John 8:32 which states:
" And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Truth: this nation was founded by men of faith and character and upon the Bible from which those same men learned about faith and character. We're lied to on a regular and consistent basis by those in the government and now without even the pretense of civility. Their lies and the consequences of them will come home to roost one day - and that day is being approached at breakneck speed.
"WHAT!!?? A 'man of the cloth' feels he needs or even should be armed???!!!" Yes, because it is my AND YOUR Biblical mandate to provide for my own which, for you lilypants, over-pious, so-called "pastors" who selectively believe our God-inspired Bible, means PROTECTION IN THIS WORLD as well. And while we're on this subject, I'll let you know now that in addition to the 6 rounds this little popper .380 has in it, I carry 2 additional 5-rd mags - "just in case". All 16 rds are personal protection hollow points. Why would any self-respecting, family-loving, God-fearing man buy health, home, and vehicle insurance(where's your "faith in Gawd", eh??) and NOT arm himself to say nothing of arming and training his family? Senseless hypocrisy.
I wear the hat regularly now to display my support of those who went before and those with whom I share common ideas and principles today. The silhouette of the minuteman on the cap to the left represents John Parker. The statue this likeness is taken from stands in Lexington, Ma. Do the research on your own. The roman 3 is representative of the number of actual participants and supporters in our First War for Independence. Attached to the back of my cap is a velcro strip which has the greek characters equivalent to "molon labe". Again, you do the homework as to what that means.

What I am against is the wholesale ignorance of the significance of this date. Celebration is great when the point of the effort is central. Sadly, that was lost long ago.
I'm angry too that I spent so many years like all the other sheeple, just moving with the flock, being worked and maneuvered by the wretched rhetoric that is continually spewed from the lamestream media's overpaid hacks and lackeys.
Having reached my 60's, I'm very well aware that time spent is unrecoverable.
With this "coming of age", has also come the decision to determine what is truly important and what is not. Here's some of what IS very important to me:
My Bible is open to John 8:32 which states:
" And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Truth: this nation was founded by men of faith and character and upon the Bible from which those same men learned about faith and character. We're lied to on a regular and consistent basis by those in the government and now without even the pretense of civility. Their lies and the consequences of them will come home to roost one day - and that day is being approached at breakneck speed.
"WHAT!!?? A 'man of the cloth' feels he needs or even should be armed???!!!" Yes, because it is my AND YOUR Biblical mandate to provide for my own which, for you lilypants, over-pious, so-called "pastors" who selectively believe our God-inspired Bible, means PROTECTION IN THIS WORLD as well. And while we're on this subject, I'll let you know now that in addition to the 6 rounds this little popper .380 has in it, I carry 2 additional 5-rd mags - "just in case". All 16 rds are personal protection hollow points. Why would any self-respecting, family-loving, God-fearing man buy health, home, and vehicle insurance(where's your "faith in Gawd", eh??) and NOT arm himself to say nothing of arming and training his family? Senseless hypocrisy.
I wear the hat regularly now to display my support of those who went before and those with whom I share common ideas and principles today. The silhouette of the minuteman on the cap to the left represents John Parker. The statue this likeness is taken from stands in Lexington, Ma. Do the research on your own. The roman 3 is representative of the number of actual participants and supporters in our First War for Independence. Attached to the back of my cap is a velcro strip which has the greek characters equivalent to "molon labe". Again, you do the homework as to what that means.
When things do finally "go south" and come out the other end, how will anyone answer as to how YOU were counted during the difficulties?

Another Step Toward the Goal
Last evening at 5:00PM Eastern the Glenn Beck Program aired the following piece:

This is the public outting of the III Patriots and more specifically the public presentation of the III Citadel. I am proud to say that I stand squarely behind this movement. I have met a few of the key personalities responsible for the movement's formation and furtherance. I am also a member of the III Congress. Although situated nearly as remotely as one could be, I intend to put any effort I can to this organization.
I am loathe to list the slights and injuries inflicted by the recent regimes which have seized control of this nation. I am standing up to take my place among the few have decided to do more than simply uncover, share and decry the atrocities.
During the interview, Glenn Beck asked about religion and what place it nay or not have in the Citadel. I agree with him that God had a huge part in the formation of this nation. He will need to have that same part again. It is my intension to beg for His intervention on our behalf to set this nation aright once again.
Freedom for each individual man was God-given from the first day of man's very creation. There are those today who would take that from us and be themselves our gods. I will not bow to them. It is time for like-minded men and women to stand against the tyranny and evil that has begun an unveiled assault on our liberties through twisted use of regulation and the power associated with it. The very regulatory power we, the people, have surrendered to them.

Where Have All the Men Gone?

What I am, however, is as determined as he is to decry the resident evil that has so boldly and blatantly manifested itself in recent times.
It's past time for the men of my profession to stand on the Principles of Liberty and proclaim them. It will cause a number of things among which are: 1) a lower Sunday crowd, 2) consequently lower offerings, 3) ire and mistrust of some of "the faithfu;", 4) possible ousting from the pulpit by that same group of "the faithful", 5) very likely "routine auditing" by various .gov agencies which may or not have anything to do with tax exempt status. All of these things matter - IF one is more concerned with the "temporal" side of pastoring than with the spiritual mandate of "... preaching the word..." and being "... instant in season, out of season..."
There is a decision to be made, not only by Johnny Q. living on Main St, USA to stand and live in Freedom and to resist those who would deny that right, but by those men who stand in America's pulpits. The mandate, the charge, the responsibility is for "... a man (to) be found faithful." and that NOT to Caesar but to the King of Kings, "... who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus..."
"And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word." 1Kings 18:21
Why are you silent as those of Israel in Elijah's day? Is it because, as then, you've forgotten Who has redeemed, sanctified and called you to be His Oracles here in this present world?
As the depth of evil in this nation is revealed, it has become impossible to continue to hide behind Romans 13 any longer. You, preacher, stand in the precarious position of either deciding to make a stand for the Liberty this nation was formed in by God's Own Hand or call the actions of our Forefathers sin...

There are enemies of our Constitution and Bill of Rights who intend to not only disarm We, the American People, but reduce our God-given rights to a collection of prohibitions and/or legal hoops to jump through in order to receive what in reality is already ours by birthright. "Honest Self-Assessment" Assessment
On Thursday April 25, 2013, a blogpost was posted on the III Percent Patriots blog bearing the title I've copied above.

The gist of it is to provoke one to examine one's own position with regard to the seemingly inevitable confrontation coming between those who would have our Constitution restored and those who would destroy any remaining vestages of the same. It's time for each American to choose.(If you're an illegal, you have no standing in this matter whatsoever under any circumstances so sit down and stfu. Better yet - leave now while you can.) With that choosing will come the inextricable conditions and requirements imposed by either side of this now "Great Divide". Let me be clear: if you be for the Restoration of our Founding Documents, there can be no room for compromise or, as the pathetic sing-songing goes, "going along to get along". That bus stops here and now. It is and has been that compromising of basic, fundamental truths that has us where we are today. It must end. The Rule of Law must be re-established, enforced and, above all, respected by EVERY INDIVIDUAL and at each and every level of every form of governance in this nation. Anything less is unacceptable.
Bur again, I digress as this post is about my assessment of me and just what will I do. This question has been eating away at my little gray cells for longer than the mentioned blogpost put it in so many words. Wrestling with the quandry reached a fever pitch during and due to the III Congress meet last week. My "profession" or(to those who truly understand) my calling places me in a somewhat different category than most. You see, most view those "in the Ministry" as either extreme pacifists or at the least anti-gun and anti-violence. I am none of the above. I am, however, a believer in providing for my own - including self-protection when and as necessary and I am squarely against anyone infringing on my God-Given rights to pursue my life as my God and conscience guide. And, while we're visiting this, I further believe that it is not our form of governance which "allows" me the right to do but rather it is MY voice in allowing or DISALLOWING that governing body to do or NOT DO what I decide. It is for these ideals, these principles every American or legal hopeful must decide.
But..... what will I do "if/when....."? Suffer me to quote from a record written over one hundred fifty years ago: "The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States" by Benjamin F. Morris, pgs 424, 425.
The Person: The Reverend James Caldwell, circa 1775, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Elizbethtown, N.J.
His position: "His name and fame are interwoven with the history of his country, and are as dear to the State as to the Church. He became early and deeply interested in the conflict, and devoted all of his powers no less to the freedom of his country than to the service of his God. Such was his influence over his people that, with few exceptions, they became one with him in sentiment, and feeling; and thenceforward he and they were branded as the rebel parson and parish. To the enemies of his country he was the object of the deepest hatred; and such was their known thirst for life, that, while preaching the Gospel, he was compelled to lay his loaded pistols by his side in the pulpit."
His Participation: He was, at one point, elected Chaplain of a brigade provided to colonial army by N.J. He had earned a price on his head, offered by the torries and British troops, for his unrelenting efforts in spurring others to rally and fight for Freedom's cause. Neither did he stand soley behind his pulpit but he also took up arms and engaged the oppressors in battle beside his countrymen. "In one of the engagements near Sprinfield, N.J., (he) was in the hottest of the fight, and, seeing the fire of one of the company's slaken for want of wadding, he galloped to the Presbyterian meeting-house nearby, and, rushing in, ran from pew to pew, filling his arms with hymnbooks. Hastening back with these into battle, he scattered them about in every direction, saying, as he pitched one here and another there, 'Now boys, put Watts into them.'"
(Watts being a hymnwriter of an earlier time whose writings were considered by the Presbyterians nearly as scared as the Scriptures themselves.)
Such is my decision. I will use my pulpit not only to spread the Gospel of God's Love and Redemption through His Son, Christ Jesus but also as a cannon(if I may say) to assault the enemies of our hard won freedoms and to turn as many as will listen to that same fight we're again facing today. Supply and quarter will be offered to those who prove themselves Patriots and, as I my God will enable, to go shoulder to shoulder with the same should the need arise.
If God would grant me the wisdom and courage to be half the Christian man this Pastor was, I could go into Eternity with at least the knowledge my life was more meaningful than had I shrunk back into the calm, shadowy darkness of complacency.

I have hindered their right and my right to a weapon might be restricted by my actions, but not by their pathological fear of a weapon.(emphasis added wah)
My cause is to the recognition of my rights as given to me by God and affirmed in the Constitution.
I have the right to free speech. I have the right to firearms. I have the right to due process of law. I have the right to religious expression. I have the right to my papers and effects. Without warrant or probable cause of a crime being committed or about to be committed, the government has no right to infringe these rights."

On Boston
First, my heart-felt sympathies and condolences to those who are suffering through the tragic events and aftermath surrounding the Marathon. There is overmuch to be dealt with. The act of targeting non-combatants, innocents and bystanders - to include children - is unconscionable... despicable... the desperate act of a child mentality seeking unrequited attention.
If one has what he considers to be a valid beef needing addressed with another, man up. Call out then meet the individual(s) and have at it, face to face, eye to eye, fist for fist - if necessary but for the sake of all that's right, holy, just and honorable LEAVE OTHERS ALONE.
To those who would make direct and/or indirect accusations of this possibly being an act by some alleged "patriot" group, you have once again demonstrated your ignorant and uninformed position regarding Patriots beyond any reasonable doubt. As has already been stated in another blog, Patriots know who their enemies are and when, IF, they ever take action against them, there will absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind who is against who. KNOW THIS: the indiscriminate, random targeting of any general population or portion thereof is not in the playbook under any circumstances.
Those who do this are idiots as are those who believe we Patriots would.

Dropping the Optics - UPDATED
While the following is nothing new to any who would frequent blogs like(and likely better than) mine, it does show that the Enemies of our Freedoms are becoming more emboldened.
Why do I feel like I've just received a hearty shove to my back and is that laughter I'm hearing behind me? Bullies who are out to provoke a fight from someone they deem a lesser invariably behave like this when they truly believe they have the upper hand.

I honestly thought that when I got older that the bullying would end without messy, painful confrontation.

As I see It
The following link is for an article regarding the position of Patriots nationwide and evokes more questions than provides answers. This is not a bad thing nor am I being critical. It's time for hard questions to be asked and answered.
My take is(and has been) the monumental lack of unity and cooperation between groups and individuals. I am not talking about lowering standards nor leaving principles behind. I am, however, pointing out the need for setting aside particulars for our "cause" - if indeed that cause is common.

My belief is, if there is a notible coming together of generally likeminded factions, a ball will begin to roll very similar in behavior to the Tea Party movement which drew a million strong into one city on one day under one cause. I did not say go join the Tea Party though my wife and I were there with a teen grdaughter and the teen daughter of a close friend. The effect on us was profoundly moving. It was the "slap in the face" we needed to set our own lives in better order for the issues to come. We all know tptb turned a deaf ear that day and has every occasion since. So, the question is, "what now?"
Does a "national" line in the sand need to be drawn? One to which all can give ascent? If so, where will it be? When will it be? How many more insults to and deletions from our waning cache of "rights" will we suffer? Who will draw said line? How many, if any, are willing to agree to it and then follow through?
Perhaps TL is dead on when he says that anything that will happen will happen on the local, individual level. Will the news of local actions be what stirs others to move? Maybe there will be no movement that will sweep across America ingiting and enflaming hearts to rally toward a common cause.
This will without doubt be discussed on April 19th & 20th, on King's Mountain, SC amongst those who will show. There's time to be counted in whether you're a "delegate" or not. Our plans are made, time arranged, notifications are gone out to those who need to know. My truck has been readied for the trip. Short of catastrophe, personal or ministry-related, we will be there.

I've been absent from here being tied up with securing certain aspects of my own prepping as well as tending to necessities at work. In an obscure way, it has given me time to think and consider the recent advances of the difficulties most of us can sense coming. Here are some of my thoughts:

Pull The Plug...
...and the bathtub will inevitably drain and a void is then created in the tub. Such is the case with the lack of good education. The plug was pulled and not long after - about 3 years for the effect to take hold - America's standing as holding the highest educational standard in the world was taken away. This removal process has been ongoing since.
There are many theories pushed forward as the possible cause yet they all miss the mark, imho. Illegal immigration is but a symptom of the malady as is political correctness. Some would point to the teachers unions and their push for more while doing less - an activity not uncommon to all union efforts. Urbanization is yet another scapegoat for the continuing downward spiral of our Nation's education standard.
NONE touch the root cause.

Unless and until this eviction of God changes, America will continue to drop in all standards, not just education, untill there will be nothing left that remotely resembles the once great Nation of educated free men.

One Perspective
There are those that claim that our Constitution is "out-dated" and should be "revisited" = rewritten with a collectivist bent. The Second Amendement was good in the day of ball and musket but has outlived it's application since society has (de)evolved to an alleged "higher state".
If that clouded, ignorant and stupid thinking be somehow actual fact then the First Amendement was only good so long as the Gutenberg Printing Press was in operation. Radio, Television, Internet, etc, etc, etc.....

This is a good move but has the situation gotten too far out of hand overall..? Or will it simply not matter as the usurper and fellow-cronies continue their progressive march to total marxism in America..?

A Thief by Any Other Name...
When is theft not theft? And when is one who commits theft not a thief?
Seems like silly ranting, I know but bear with me. All men have been endued with certain inalienable rights by our Creator. The Founding Documents, upon which this Nation bases it's government, outline - NOT PROVIDE NOR ALLOW - those inalienable rights. Any and all violations of and damage done to these documents and what they delineate is blatant theft. Specifically, theft of our rights and liberties as expressed.
The violations and damages come in many forms but the means du jour is through restriction by legislation.This "legislation" or rule-setting exists at every level of our society from national edicts to little Sally's lemonade stand. That thought in itself is an oxymoran but yet it is precisely the situation that is flourishing today. This perpetual law-giving steals from each of us every day. The biggest right being acquired by theft is basic control of one's own life. The right to do as one sees fit - pursue one's own happiness. As tptb make advances in their legislating, we lose even by threat of force if deemed necessary to make their point.
Scripture tells us not once, twice nor even three times but four repetitions to leave "landmarks" alone that have been established:
Deuteronomy 19:14 "Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.";
27:17 "Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour’s landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen."
Proverbs 22:28 "Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.";
23:10 "Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:"(this last phrase was in reference to taking from those who had no one to go their part nor fight for their rights and/or possessions).
The landmark referred to was traditionally a stone marker set at the convergence of property of different owners. This held significance for a number of reasons for the Jewish people after their arrival in the Promised land. The basic premise was ownership - the land within any given set of landmarks belonged not only to that particular individual but to his posterity as well.(Inheritance Tax..??!! thievery) They were more than markers, they were boundaries which were to be observed and respected despite any issues which may arise. Even if any portion of land was sold, at Jubilee it would return to the family who originally owned it. There was a guaranteed, God-given right to that property.
We have a very similar set of "landmarks" in this nation and while they have served us well, there have been and there remains a number who would not just move them but remove and/or destroy them altogether. In doing so they make claim to all that we each as individuals once held as or own. These landmarks are the principles set forth in our Founding Documents and tptb are stealing more of our expressed freedoms and liberties daily. They are resetting the boundaries which our fathers set at our founding. This is the usurper's "fundamental transformation of America". He and those of his thinking are thieves. They are deceivers. They are intrinsically evil.
Here is one such instance. Seeking to exercise one's faith by one's own conscience was a primary motivator in taking the chance to strike out for "the New World".

Bear in mind: no person "of faith" is perfect(that being without sin, fault or problems), but merely forgiven by the One Who has the power to forgive sins.

Co-Dependence Must End
"... law and order have broken down to such an extent that residents have been been left with no other choice but to band together to police their own streets."
This an excerpt which struck me as odd. Isn't it every person's responsibility to be the "policing agent" in his neighborhood? I live in New England, in a 5-floor walk-up one floor from the top. It is a corner building. Across the street is a corner store - something that is fading fast with the proliferation of "convenience" stores. Our town is a former center for light industry which employed thousands more than it does now. It now boasts of broad, multicultural diversity. This is but pcspeak for a high concentration of non-English-speaking, therefore unemployable receivers of entitlements. But I digress.
The corner store owner/operator and I talk several times a week just to touch base with each other regarding anything either of us feels is significant. Who hasn't been seen lately, who gave who a hard time, who got arrested, or who was politely(or not so) asked to leave either place of business. We are our "neighborhood watch". If either of us has an immediate issue, the other is alerted. It works. For different reasons, we also each keep an ear toward our own PD/FD scanner. We try to stay informed.
When tshtf - and it will as surely as I type with two fingers - who do you think will be watching your back? I'll take it a step or two back from there: who SHOULD HAVE BEEN taking the lead in every neighborhood in every town across America before any of this crap ever started?! It's each of us. We should have been and we should be doing it now. When the bubble goes up, as they say, Officer Friendly will likely be doing what many of us have been planning to do: protect our own first. Katrina. Reports of upwards of 600 from Nawlins PD and surrounding areas alone were no-shows.
Things must change. The co-dependence on the statist machine to provide every service must end. Relinquishing responsibility to a cesspool of corrupt and domineering political hacks is plain wrong. It's time to shoulder what was mete out when the Declaration was penned and delivered. You see, that and our other Founding Documents were not merely instruments of severence from the nanny state declaring each person free in his own right. They were also documents declaring the personal responsibilities incumbent upon each man to accept and maintain if he determined to become and remain free.

My Resignation

In my lifetime, there have been two other occasions of such defined national polarization: the civil rights struggle and the anti-war sentiment brought to a head by Viet Nam. Our numbers swell daily. Your "moving forward" provokes a growing number to stand against you. Many have grown weary of the press.
You have the power to defuse the powderkeg you have filled and are ready to ignite but you have yet to count the cost of continuing such a course. Know this: it will be dear. There are those of us who have done the math and compared it against our other options. Some are making preparations to go the full price while others have already done. We understand what it means: Liberty is costly to obtain and costly to maintain.

Got Tribe?
Since I have become more acutely aware of of the reality of my surroundings and what appears to be the inevitable end result, I have tried to learn all I can. In this learning process, I strain everything I take in through my personal filters, the primary being The Word of God. As I've already stated, while these rantings do not meet nor are they suitable replacement for my responsibility to spread the Gospel, they are my interpretations of sound, Biblical practice in all aspects of life. Even life as we face it today.
There is alot of advice regarding an individual's ability to survive the current holocaust of the American Way of Life. One aspect of this is the idea of "tribe" which I'm interpreting to mean basically one's association with others of like mind in facing the difficulties which lay ahead.
First, I am in total agreement with the need for such a weapon in one's arsenal though my view of it has basis in Scripture rather than any war experience. Allow me to expand briefly.
My reference is Genesis 14:1-16. This the account of a localized conflict between four city-states vs. five city-states. In this mix lives a family whose patriarch, Lot, is nephew of Abraham, Father of the Jewish people. Lot and his, being the unfortunate spoils of war, were carried away captive by the victorious set of kings. When Uncle Abe got word of the tragedy, he took very specific, calculated action:
13 ¶ "And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus."
He armed his servants(servitude not being a topic of debate nor discussion as it was what it was). More importantly, he armed his TRAINED, HOME-GROWN servants. This tells me several things. Being capably armed was simply an accepted part of life. Being trained in the use of said armament was also an accepted part of life. Abraham enlisted those who would be naturally closest to him outside of blood kinship. It's my belief that there was no need for coersion on Abraham's part as these were men born, raised up and trained by a man not known for cruelty and wickedness but rather a quiet and peaceable man. They had known no other way of life. What they were called on to do was as natural to them as was any other part of their routine. So they went to war because Abraham's family was in danger. The result was a more seasoned, capable force was annihilated by three hundred and nineteen men with a just cause.
"Tribe" must have arms, training, cohesion through mutual trust and a just cause when the need to engage arises.
A parting thought: Abraham, though not a cruel nor unjust man, left few if any survivors. This issue was settled at least for the remainder of his lifetime.

Does America Understand the Outcome? Part II
America has become a nation of avarice, ambition, revenge and gallantry. She has defected from her once sacred and solid position of standing on moral high ground. Economic America, political America, social America, and even religious America has been polluted by the conditions John Adams warned of. This condition was also warned/prophesied of in Scripture:"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." John Adams: Address to the Military, October 11, 1798
2Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
The term, "a falling away" can be interpreted in roughly 3 ways. The one most striking to me with regard to it's application to my world today is "a defection". There was once a commonly understood moral foundation in and under this nation. It's my belief that prosperity and the laziness and assumed self-importance prosperity produces was part of the erosion of that foundation. Having and maintaining a moral stand is difficult in the best of circumstances and when the test of one's mettle comes, morals will either be the rock against which one's life is anchored or they will be abandoned for the "easy way out". America has defected; she has abandoned the solid foundation upon which she rested for so long.
We are now governed by those who unashamedly display their disdain for any moral objectivity and rule over us accordingly. "We", on the other hand make no demand of any kind of standard of any of our despotic governors. "We" have for a very long time have discharged the governing of ourselves to those whom we believe "have a knack for it". "We" too have defected from our morality by shirking our national and personal duty to maintain the careful vigil over our Divinely Appointed governance. Freedom requires perpetual vigilance.

My Perspective as a Christian
Amongst a few there is a quiet(and sometimes not so) debate over whether a Christian should prep for what appears to many to be the very real possibility of widespread socio-economic troubles. Oftentimes, firearms possession and use(especially for self-defense) are brought into this debate. As I've experienced the debate, 2 sides usually emerge: on the 1 hand, there are the God is Love, turn the other cheek, Jesus was meek and non-violent, we must obey every law laid upon us, God will provide folks; on the other there are those who take a somewhat more pragmatic stand. This stand is well summed up in an article posted on The Daily Sheeple in point 4:
"4.) God gave us a brain and He expects us to use it – If we are standing on train tracks and a train is coming, common sense tells us to move off the tracks. Common sense tells us to move to the side of the road when there is oncoming traffic. Common sense tells us to back away from the edge of a cliff. Does not common sense tell us that, if it’s obvious that hard times are coming, it might be a good idea to do what we can to prepare for those hard times?"

This blog is not necessarily the venue for the faith v. foolishness debate but I will state for the record that Christians are not guaranteed anywhere in the Scriptures that God(nor anyone else) is obligated to make up for a person's lack of taking care of himself and those for whom he is responsible. I would direct your attention to the account of the 10 virgins with their 10 lamps.(Matthew 25:1-) Their obligation was to make a collective, prepared presentation on behalf of the bridegroom yet each had the personal responsibility of obtaining enough lamp oil to last till he presented himself. NB - none of the prepped 5 shared their oil with the 5 slackers.(There's charity and then there's focus on the higher purpose.)
I could site other practical points but I would likely weary those less religiously inclined who may stumble across this blogpage. My point is simply this: Christian, you're hiding behind a statist lie if you believe that prepping isn't for you. For goodness sake folks, do you not see that our very Salvation is Itself a form of preparation against what otherwise would surely be future disaster! WAKE UP !! We're living in truly evil days being governed by evil men with nothing but evil intentions.
Post Script - In response to the question you may be asking yourself: yes, I am armed and minimally capable; my wife is also armed and together we're working on our capabilities. Life is easier faced with a spouse who stands squarely with you - not only in principle but in practise as well.

Either You Are or You Are Not
This is post is from another blogger who, unlike many others, is weary and angered by the bending Americans have been doing for decades. I too am weary and often angered and have expressed this same resolve. His words:
The sun shines today, as a matter of fact…. the sun shines in my conscience everyday. I was born and raised as an American, nothing will change this fact, it is in my DNA. I live as a free man… and will continue to do so, nothing can change this.
I am well aware of uncle sugar and his shenanigans, spying on me and my words, I am a free man and nothing can change this. Fear? No the fear subsided long ago, revenge? We can discuss perspective later. I have surrounded my self and family with instruments of death…. Just as my ancestors had, because they lived their lives as free men, nothing can change this.
I have also surrounded myself and family with the means to feed ourselves, food, livestock, garden seed, viable gardens with the tools to work them. Come try to take them from us, I will fight to my death to defend my family and property….. Nothing can change this.
America has changed, this can’t be argued. I have not changed… The American within me has not changed. Last night the anger began to rise, I asked my wife to change the channel……My soul was stirred, it was angry and upset… sickened at the images being brought into our home from the nation’s capitol. I am an American and nothing can change this.
We already understand and acknowledge the path of our future, it’s a heady task before us… To say the least it’s daunting. My DNA refuses to allow me to forget I am an American. There is an American within all of us……. Nothing can change this.
Our family just started a small mom and pop business, I have had a few e-mail me and ask why? Why now?……. Because I am an American, and Nothing Can Change This Fact. We should all be starting small businesses, supporting each other, the framework and the inventory needs to be in place. LOCAL, LOCAL, LOCAL.

The Sky is Not Green
The issue of changing America's fundamentals can, at least in part, be boiled down to one simple effort with two parts: changing the definition of foundational words and then forcing their acceptance . The first part of change comes through a multi-step process beginning with repeat questioning, denial, and the use of "common sense reasoning". Once this first phase has managed to crack the surface of what has previously been cast, accepted definitions then alternative meanings are applied. They are used copiously and repeatedly(enter the useless idiots in the lamestream media). These employ marginalizing and mocking of those who rightfully understand the set definitions of whatever words are at issue. Finally comes the force of (il)legal decision applied by those whose agenda is better served without the restrictive boundaries set by those definitions. At this point "change" is well in the making. In short, we're bombarded daily that the sky isn't blue but rather whatever the color du jour is according to the Usurpers.
There is however a second and very necessary part for this process of transformation to be complete. It is the part that the Usurpers gamble on each and every time they overreach with their slaughter of our Constitutional rights. Without clear, presentable proof it is my contention that there are likely "think tank"-like organizations whose sole task is to "figure the odds" of acceptance to these twisted alerations. It's kind of like a bookies process of setting the odds. The second and perhaps more vital part for the advance of the transformation process is acceptance by "the vast majority".(Even this term has been redefined to mean those who follow the Usurpers.) How does one gain acceptance of change? First, by yelling long enough, loud enough, with what is made to appear to be enough supporters to cause pressure on the resistant. Make them question their own stand. Use multiple venues for broadcasting the altered definitions. Demean, ridicule, minimize the "old guard" at every opportunity. Make them look stupid and uninformed. Make them look uncool. All this while presenting the skewed versions as the "neat thing to do". These are the same tactics of the schoolyard bully. If these don't seem to be achieving the desired effect in the timeframe required, make legal examples of a fringe few who would likely not succeed at any contrary efforts anyway. They are not above murder. Fear can do much to convince the "stick in the mud" to alter his position.
Continually add in all this enough emotional manipulation and Americans can be counted on to accept "fundamental transformation". The Usurpers know this and have been attacking our foundational underpinnings for nearly two centuries. Eating away like a slow cancer destroying each portion of flesh it touches; like termites invisible until their consistant efforts at erosion becomes visible through the collapse of the structure they attack.
Isaiah 5:20 "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
Isaiah 10:1 "Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;"

"Fixing" the bug infested structural supports demands dramatic and drastic measures. They will resist. We must resist harder and longer. This isn't about healthcare. It is not about guns - although without them their process could move much faster and without the nagging question of "what if they resist". This is about control. It's about control they never had but will destroy, kill and even die for to take from others.

Isaiah 10:1 "Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;"
The sky is not green - it never has been nor will it ever be. The facts are on our side. The problem is that many have already been turned from the facts. The damage is deep and widespread. "Fixing" the bug infested structural supports demands dramatic and drastic measures. They will resist. We must resist harder and longer. This isn't about healthcare. It is not about guns - although without them their process could move much faster and without the nagging question of "what if they resist". This is about control. It's about control they never had but will destroy, kill and even die for to take from others.

endowed - to provide with something freely or naturally
Creator - one that creates usually by bringing something new or original into being; especially capitalized : God
unalienable - incapable of being alienated, surrendered, or transferred
Rights - something to which one has a just claim: as the power or privilege to which one is justly entitled
Second Amendment
(excerpt) "shall not be infringed"
infringed - to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another
If you need to have "shall not be" defined, you belong in remedial English or are in desparate need of some serious discipline inflicted by another.
It looks like we're getting closer to the woodshed and it won't be pretty nor will it be fun.
